Premier Encounter 2008 was amazing!! The show was held from Saturday, November 8th to Monday, November 10th at the fabulous Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Saturday night started off with a fashion show hosted by Dhaniel Doud (featured in Teen People, YM, Allure, and many more) illustrating current cutting-edge trends in the fashion industry. Sunday was spent shuffling around through different forums with sessions hosted by Redken Artists, and Monday was some quality time spent working in an exclusive hands-on workshop in design and color with Chiala Marvici and Jeff Kilcoyne. (Dhaniel and Chiala are two of Redken’s top educators and both of them did my colorist examination at the Redken Exchange on 5th Avenue in NYC in October of 2007.)

Product Diversion - Why Your Safety May Be In Danger
Safety isn’t the only issue you need to worry about when purchasing salon-only products from your local grocery store, drugstore or superstore… your wallets will suffer too! Undercover shopping found that prices of diverted products were 10-20% higher than what they would be in a salon. Some of these products have been found to have been counterfeit and/or contaminated with bacteria.
Below you will find two investigative reports on diversion. Educate yourself on the risks of diverted salon products so you can make informed decisions on where to purchase your hair care products. Always buy professional products in salons, not just to help support local businesses but to also receive the guaranteed results. Diversion is not just limited to these salon products, but all of them.
The video on the right is an investigational report from ABC about bacterial contamination and price gouging of professional hair care products on the “black market.” What you see is not always what you get. The Redken Symposium 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada
Looking ahead to January, Symposium 2009 will get kicked off in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 20, 2009. Symposium is the industry’s most exciting, inspiring, and award-winning educational event voted* best hair show by hairstylists for the last several years. Scheduling Tips and Reminders
When calling the salon, please keep in mind that we are closed on Sundays and Mondays. We also do not have a receptionist late in the evenings. The receptionist does not stay late every night simply because the salon hours are dictated by the schedule of the stylists working on that particular day. Please leave a message on the voicemail after hours or on Sunday and Monday so the receptionist can call you back the next morning that we are open. This is the best way to get that last minute appointment; before another guest calls and takes the time you are looking to come in.
Scheduling your next appointment before you leave is the best way to ensure that you get in when you are ready. Due to increasing demand and growing travel schedule with hair shows, appointments can be limited so please schedule ahead of time to avoid having to wait longer than you really should. Confirmation calls are made the day before your appointment and if something comes up and you have to reschedule, that's O.K. Just let the receptionist know a few days in advance or when she calls to confirm your appointment. It's better to have an appointment set up rather than focus on the "what if" something comes up then not be prepared at all.
