Dear Guest,
In September of
2008, I
received a promotion to Master Specialist in the area of haircolor and
design from Redken 5th Avenue NYC. The training that I have
received from Redken to achieve this status has covered new trends from
the red carpet in Hollywood, to the new shades of the runway in
NYC. Redken was there, behind the stage at New York City
Fashion Week creating those looks, to eventually pass them on to their
stylists, such as myself. I have received new, cutting-edge
design techniques to make your hair work for you, not you working for
your hair, and to convey to guests how to achieve these “salon looks”
on their own at home.
Thus far in
2008, I
have received more than
78 hours of continuing
education to combine with education from the Redken Haircolorist
Certification and exam last October, which is not included in those
78 hours. In the next six
months, I have over
50 hours
of advanced level training scheduled. In the state of
Illinois, cosmetologists are required to only accumulate
14 hours ever two years. By
March of
2009, I would have accumulated
over nine times the amount of continuing education required by law,
allowing me to excel in my career. Urbana/Champaign is too
small to host the type of events I am qualified to attend, so my
travels will take me all over the U.S. this winter. The
“Premier

Encounter” Show will be in Lake
Geneva, Wisconsin early next month. In January, Mandalay Bay
Resort & Casino will be hosting the “Redken Symposium,” the
industry’s most exciting, inspiring, and award-winning educational
event. In March of
2009, the “Expressions” Show
will be held in Oak Brook, IL.
Over the next six months, while furthering my education, the
sessions I will be attending are going to cover the fashion forward
techniques that you have seen in magazines, thus I will be able to
transform those techniques into “salon-wearable” hair here at
home. This knowledge is being delivered by the people who put
those looks in these magazines to begin with. These educators
have been featured on the pages of Teen People, YM, Allure, Modern
Salon, and American Salon, and some of their work has been seen on
programs such as the MTV Video Music Awards. These
inspiration-filled sessions include the latest design and color trends
from around the world. Pushing myself in these advanced level
sessions have allowed me to bring the knowledge back to you, my guest.
Beautiful hair does not happen on its own. It
starts with you. Healthy hair is the most beautiful of
all. This is why I have designed
TheStyleRevolution.com. This guest-oriented,
educational website explains, with my help, how you can get that
“magazine ready” look. I truly believe that this

knowledge helps to enlighten,
empower, and enrich us all. By illustrating the “how” and
“why” behind beautiful hair, it becomes easier to achieve.
TheStyleRevolution.com has articles written by myself on
how to best preserve your haircolor, the
Terminology of
Beauty to help understand the styling-world “lingo,” tips on
how to make you prepared in a way to make your salon visit phenomenal,
and with
The Science of Hair to explain how and
why certain chemicals and products in the salon are used, including
specific, scientific information on Redken Haircare products as well as
explaining some of the products in your local grocery aisle.
TheStyleRevolution.com is a
massive resource for guests because for the time and money that is
spent on coloring and maintaining your hair, it is vital to make sure
it lasts, and that looks and is truly healthy. With my help,
and this website that I have created, you have the resources to
accomplish this. You need someone who is willing to guide you
through this process and show you how easy it can be to have fabulous
hair. This is what I am here for. I am ready, are
you? For those guests I have addresses on file, you
will receive a magnet in the mail this week to take to work for the
office refrigerator
. Give the
cards that are included to your friends. Send
this e-mail to everyone in your address book! Help spread the
word! Take control of your hair! Join the
revolution!
