Expressions 2009 Hair Show in Oak Brook, IL. Check It Out!
Expressions 2009 kicked off this past weekend at the awesome Oak Brook Hills Resort in Oak Brook, IL. I checked out what's new and exciting, while getting to catch up with some friends I haven't seen in a long time. Some of the classes attended were presented by educators such as Sam Villa and a few of my mentors and friends, Deborah McCann, Melissa Johnson, Lisa Bender, and so many others.
Redken's "The Hair Files"
Redken has launched "The Hair Files," a series of how-to hair videos that show consumers how to recreate stylist salon hairstyles at home with the help of Redken experts and products. The first video has been posted, with the always fabulous David Stanko and Rodney Cutler, instructing you, the guest, on creating specific looks on your hair at home.
I already know what you are thinking: "But it's still a STYLIST doing the hair." Yes, at the beginning, but as you progress through the video you have the opportunity to see the guest duplicate what the Cutler did on her own! It's super easy, check it out. The video lasts a brief 10 minutes, there is no reason not to! Styling your hair is NOT as hard as what you think, as long as you have the appropriate tools (mechanical AND liquid)!
